About This Partnership
For over 75 years, The Fondren Foundation has made it their mission to give back to their local community of Houston and the great state of Texas. The foundation has long supported our wild things and wild places, including Sheldon Lake State Park, the Texas Game Warden Training Center, and fishery recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey in 2017. And, when Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation set out to raise $2 million to fund much-needed projects at all Texas State Parks during their centennial anniversary in 2023, The Fondren Foundation was the very first of a select few generous Centennial Champions to offer matching dollars.
